Official Video for ‘Over the River’ taken from the album ‘The Fellowship’ by BRØNS available on Bluray and CD.
Brons’ 5th album “The Fellowship” is inspired by JRR Tolkiens ‘Lord of the Rings’. If you haven’t already, we hope it inspires you to read his wonderful work.
This song is about The hobbits as they cross the Brandywine River and in doing so they leave their beloved Shire. What do they take with them?
They have neither the wisdom of Gandalf nor the strength of Aragorn or Boromir. They trust only in their friendship and their love of the place they are trying to save.

LYRICS
I have seen, Places of green
I have climbed the highest mountain
Weathered the storm
I have known Stories of old They were told
By an ancient melody deep inside my soul
I have loved I have loved and I’ve lost
I have held the heavy burden Counted the cost
And I cross Over the way
To a place Where my journey leads me out from the grey
Over the river…
I have walked with those that I love
As their worlds were breaking open, falling apart
I have held them, close as we looked,to the sky
And we waited for the faintest glimmer of hope
I have seen the kindness of strangers
Like a sunrise thawing the frost that covers the earth
And I dare, hope that the shadows Aren’t so dark
And that love might be enough to carry us on
Over the river…
